As dog ownership continues to increase, the need for sound, experienced and professional advice does too. After the success of our first workshop; The Professional Dog Walking Workshop, we are expanding our services and providing more workshops focusing on the behaviors and issues we see most frequently.
The services below can be booked by navigating to our bookings page.
The Dog Walker Workshop (4hrs - £75)
Split into two parts; 2 hour theory and 2 hour practical session
This workshop is tailored to professional dog walkers looking to expand their knowledge both theoretical and practical, but due to its success and interest, it is now open to anyone wanting to learn more and who wants to step up their dog walking game. Whether it is to give professional dog walker’s clients and their dogs the best possible service or dog owner looking to learn and improve your skill set, for you and your dog/s.
My goal is to support you in developing your skill set so that your walks are fulfilling and enjoyable while still having full control of your dog, client’s dogs and your packs.
Where: Skelmanthorpe Community Centre, 32a Elm Street, Skelmanthorpe HD8 9BH
When: Check out our bookings page for our next available date
Cost: £75 for 4 hours
The workshop will be split into 2 parts;
- 2 hr theory based session which will cover the following (and more!); canine body language, what is a reactive dog and how to help them, how to correctly socialise your dog/s, how to promote balanced play, what a fulfilling group and solo dog walk should like and how to promote harmony so your dog/s are under control in public spaces. Here you will also get the opportunity to ask questions and troubleshoot
- A 2 hr practical session where you would bring your own dog, a client’s dog or we can provide one for you and we get to grips with the basics of a walk; from marker system, motivation, engagement, lead walking and recall. We will also look at how to deal with off lead dogs and the general public!
The Canine Touch Workshop (1 Day plus 2 months WhatsApp support - £150)
After attending the Tactical Paws Canine Touch Programme in 2025 I am now hosting workshops to help those in need.
This workshop is designed for those who have dogs that struggles with touch, whether that be with you or at the vets/groomer. This isn’t specific to fearful dogs but also dogs who are over excited, over stimulated, boisterous… the list goes on.
Where: Skelmanthorpe Community Centre, 32a Elm Street, Skelmanthorpe HD8 9BH
When: Check out our bookings page for our next available date
Cost: Working Spot – £150 per dog Audit Spot – £50 per person
What does the working spot include?
- A full day workshop (10-5pm)
- And most importantly, a WhatsApp group set up 2 months before to start to learn the commands and behaviours required for the workshop so you and your dog arrive with the skill set required for the day
- Feedback on your videos submitted in the WhatsApp group.
It’s an incredible opportunity to learn something new and it is incredibly interesting! Reading body language, looking at different motivators and drives as well as, and most importantly, making your dog feel more comfortable with touch! Whether that be vets, grooming, general handling etc and the techniques on how to achieve that.
There would be 4 working spots and 4 audit spots.
You would bring your own dog and I would work with you on finding the correct motivator for your dog in a situation where they are being handled as well as the best approach to work through your dog’s touch aversion/over enthusiasm and show you exactly how to do it.
Audit spots would be just for you to come along and learn and see everything in action.
The only real requirement is that your dog is muzzle trained (which you could work on between now and the workshop) IF your dog is likely to bite in close proximity to another human.
Your dog will come out three times across the day.
Session 1 – finding the correct motivator
Session 2 – behavioural, visual and physical assessment
Session 3 – finding the right technique
There are other things that will be helpful to learn first, which I will set up a WhatsApp group for beforehand to prepare you, but this will be ironed closer to the time.
To see if your dog would be suitable, drop me a message using the ‘Contact Us’ link.

Or, like me, are you interested in canine behaviour and want to learn as much as possible…
This workshop is the one for you!

I started my career as a dog trainer after setting up Lucky’s Legacy Rescue, a charity that focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Romanian rescue dogs. I have extensive experience with nervous dogs, working with 100s since setting up the charity and my business.
The workshop will be split into 2 parts;
- A 2 hr theory based session which will cover the different types of nervous and fearful dogs, understanding why they are nervous and looking at how that presents, the chemicals at play, different types of stress a dog can be exposed to and how that impacts behaviour, a section specific to overseas rescues and a step by step guide on how to build a nervous dog up.
-
A 2 hr practical session where you would bring your own dog (if this is appropriate/suitable), a client’s dog or we can provide one for you and we get to grips with the basics; building confidence and motivation, how to develop relationships with new dogs and new people, the use of positive patterns to help your dog build trust, how to advocate for your dog. We will also look at how obedience plays a role and enrichment activities that can help.
The Reactive Dog Workshop (4hrs - £75)
Although this workshop is NOT a substitute for 1-1 sessions with us, it’s a good introduction to reactive dogs or a good way to expand your knowledge of reactive dogs and the foundations required to tackle the behaviour.
Where: Skelmanthorpe Community Centre, 32a Elm Street, Skelmanthorpe HD8 9BH
When: Check out our bookings page for our next available date
Cost: £75 for 4 hours
The most common behaviour we see is dog reactivity, closely followed by human reactivity. This workshop is designed to delve deeper into this.
The workshop will be split into 2 parts;
- A 2 hr theory session which will cover the different types of reactivity, looking at thresholds, trigger stacking and how and why a dog reacts. We will discuss the chemicals at play as well as the short and long term effects those chemicals can have and dive into how we can start to tackle the reactivity; taking a holistic approach – considering both the dog and the owner.

A 2 hr practical session where you would bring your own dog (if this is appropriate/suitable), a client’s dog or we can provide one for you and we get to grips with the basics you will need to start to tackle a dog’s reactivity. This includes building engagement with you, communicating effectively with your dog, what to do when your dog reacts, how to prevent it and showing you how obedience plays an initial role in tackling reactivity. We will look at how best to advocate for your dog as well as the best way to build relationships.
