Hi, my name is Estelle and I run Lucky’s Paws; a dog training business which specialises in 1 to 1 training and behaviour sessions as well as puppy classes and structured pack walks.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach in dog training. It is important for me to assess each dog as an individual to ensure the program we put together is suited to the dog in front of me. My job is to give owners the skills and confidence to implement the training so that between our sessions, they can make progress and work towards their final goal.

These goals include working through:

• Reactivity
• Aggression
• Separation Anxiety
• Poor Recall
• Pulling on The Lead
• Fearful Behaviour
• Resource Guarding
• Over Excited Behaviour / Inability to Settle

I believe strongly in modifying not only a dog’s behaviour but also a dog’s emotional response to a situation or stimulus. A dog with a calm mindset can work through issues much more easily than a stressed, over excited, or anxious dog. I take a balanced approach to dog training which is incredibly effective and has allowed clients who thought they were beyond hope, to work towards things they never thought possible.

It is important to me that I am part of your journey from start to finish. Not just in our booked sessions, but between and after. I ask for as many updates as possible so that we can make tweaks and changes between sessions so that the training does not plateau. Any highs and lows, I am there for it all.

My background is working with Romanian rescue dogs, and I am founder and trustee of Lucky’s Legacy Rescue, a registered charity specialising in rehoming dogs from Romania. I have three of my own dogs who you will meet in our sessions as I use them as my stooge dogs. This volunteer work has allowed me to meet hundreds of different dogs, some with behavioural issues and helped me become the trainer I am today.
