My Dogs

Victor
The king as we call him! Although he is a Heinz 57, we can certainly see German Shepherd and Greyhound in his genetic makeup.
He was found with his sisters; Luna and Gracie, at the side of a busy road at 4 months old. No mum in sight. Victor has a burn mark under his right eye, frequent practice in Romania to provoke aggression in potential guard dogs. They were picked up and taken to the rescue. They were covered in fleas, lice, and ticks, with stomachs full of worms.
We have worked through lots of behaviours with Victor; human aggression, resource guarding, traffic reactivity resulting in redirection on to us as well as a high prey drive. He is now a simply incredible stooge dog. Calm balanced and neutral but when it is time, friendly to all dogs and their owners. He is the first dog I will use in my sessions.
A few things Victor loves: sleeping, the pub and walks in the woods.

Luna
Luna is Victor’s sister. She is an incredibly loving dog and a true wiggler. Head to butt wiggles can be expected for those she knows! Her behavioural issues were minor in comparison to Victor but included resource guarding and some dog reactivity. She is a wonderful stooge dog to have in sessions providing a different energy to Victor and therefore different. She has a different energy to Victor which provides clients and their dogs with a new challenge.
A few things Luna loves; playing chase with the other two, exploring and (trying to) hunt in long grass and affection.

Boston
Boston was rescued with his Mum and siblings from a drainpipe in Romania at only a few days old. He was rehomed in the UK at 4 months and returned to the rescue at 12 months old. Sadly, due to his behavioural issues and because we weren’t able to take him in at that time, he was moved to a kennel. After 3 kennel moves, our situation had changed meaning we could take him on as a foster dog in May 2021 and he never left.
Boston is an incredibly clever boy! His ability to learn new things astounds me. He is the dog I introduce last in my sessions when clients are ready to step up the challenge and work around an off-lead dog at speed. He is super speedy and has lots of drive.
A few of the things Boston loves; rolling in grass, scent work, obedience training sessions and to play ball.
Most loving dog trainers I know were introduced to the profession when working through their own dog’s behavioural issues and from there, realising they had a natural ability for it. My own journey was the same. I have done theoretical learning and courses, but nothing is the same as hands on experience. Collaborating with the dog in front of you and tailoring the training to suit both dog and owner.
